Winning the MLF Toyota Series 2025 Co Angler Division at Grand Lake of Cherokees, in Oklahoma!
Hi guys,
I'm Giovanni Ceccarelli, a 22-year-old Italian bass fishing angler. I was born in Rimini, a small town on the northeast coast of Italy.
I started fishing when I was eight, one summer day when my brother took me out with him and his friends. My very first catch was a bluegill, caught in a beautiful lake close to our home. Since that day, there hasn’t been a single moment when I haven’t thought about fishing.
Growing up by the sea, I naturally began exploring saltwater fishing as well. Step by step, my passion grew, and I became increasingly fascinated by spinning fishing. When I turned sixteen, I decided to focus entirely on bass fishing, which I consider the most complete and versatile form of fishing — it allows me to use different techniques depending on the fishery, season, and weather conditions.
Since 2023, I’ve been competing in tournaments across Italy with my teammate Filippo, and I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some great results. This year, I had the incredible chance to live my American dream — I took part in the MLF Toyota Series Championship on Grand Lake of the Cherokees as a Co-Angler, and I won! It was a mind-blowing experience that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
I’m still learning, improving every day, and I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.
