1980年代後半。ひとりの男の手によって、ARMSは覚醒した。そのDNAは、やがてDESTROYERを生み出し、現在のすべてのメガバスロッドが有するエモーショナル・ロッドエンジニアリングへと昇華、拡散的発展を成し遂げた。ARMSは、MEGABASSの象徴であり、世界のフィッシングロッドを追いかけるベンチマークだ。ARMSを手にした瞬間、覚悟が生まれる。アングラーが全身全霊をかけてターゲットに挑む時、いかなるバスロッドをも置き去りにする圧倒的で強大なAMRSのハイスペック・テクノロジーが、ただ魚を獲るという一点に向かって、あますことなく解放される。ARMSはとは、武器を失った人間にとって、最終的に戦いに用いるのは自らの腕であることから、武器・兵器の総称として用いられる。このロッドを手にする時、バスアングラーとしての誇りを賭けた戦いがはじまる。だからARMSは使い手を選ぶのだ。1986年のオリジナルARMSがそうだったように。
In the 1980’s, ARMS ushered in a new era of rod design. Born of Yuki Ito’s vision, each custom rod was handmade to exhilarate, inspire, and out-perform. This DNA gave rise to all Megabass rods that followed, and continues to evolve and inspire to this day. Driven by that same emotionally-charged spirit of performance, ARMS pushes the limits of technology, design, and angler performance to inspire Megabass craftsmen and anglers alike.
Paying homage to the spirituality of the warrior, ARMS rods are crafted for the sacred battle between angler and nature. To take up ARMS is to find an extension of your own body, and reach for the bite which drives us all.
